However, despite many shocking victories, the Fallen were defeated during the Battle of Titan, where they were scattered. The Alts, Trump Empire, and Fallen began a bloody war against the Brotherhood of Steel, UGR Star Fleet, and the Imperium of Mankind to defeat them and claim the Solar System. Despite heavy Brotherhood casualties, they managed to carry the day, with The Battle of Nessus beginning the Great Sol War. On the asteroid they discovered a massive Fallen fortress, as well as a large fleet of Fallen cruisers. The Brotherhood decided to pursue the Fallen's last known location to an isolated asteroid on the fringes of the Solar System, known as Nessus. On-board, they discovered knowledge that the Alts were in cohorts with the Trump Empire, a notorious dictatorship currently at war with Orange Biker's UGR, as well as another force known as The Fallen. Due to this, the Brotherhood pursued the Alts, capturing one of their smaller fleets. The Brotherhood was familiar with the Alts, as they had fought several battles with them before and even captured their leader several times. Several weeks before Moondust's return, a faction known as the Alt-Furs rose to prominence in space using stolen ships and cruisers. The Great Sol War and the rise of the Fallen However, their leader soon returned, having been stranded in an alternate universe for several months.
This caused Australia to collapse into a state of anarchy, which was barely contained by BoS Civil Protection. However, some time after their victories against the USF, Moondust disappeared alongside the research vessel Steadfast with all hands. For a time, the Brotherhood resumed their innovations in technology, constructing massive fleets of ships and even going as far as to colonize other planets outside the Solar System. Despite a counter-attack by remaining USF terrorist cells after the invasion's conclusion, Australia was secured. The Brotherhood stood against the invasion, managing to fight off the massive USF assault and take back what territory was theirs. The Brotherhood of Steel decided to enact Bastion Contingency, a plan which gave complete control of the Australian Army to them, which had been agreed upon by the current Prime Minister.
However, their innovations were interrupted when a man named Empoleon, a former Gamer general who defected to lead the USF, staged a massive invasion against Australia. Over the course of the third war, the Brotherhood of Steel had begun many innovations in starship technology, including successfully creating the first long-distance Hyperdrive using technology from an abandoned Furry science complex. Now with even more forces within their ranks, the Brotherhood pursued the survivors and destroyed their evacuation fleet off the Gold Coast. The eight Protogen factories and their crews were attacked by Brotherhood forces before their army could be completed, with the disabling of the factories and the reprogramming of many thousands of Protogens. With little time to act, the Brotherhood enacted their first major military operation: The Kestrel Purge. Immediately before the third Furry War, however, the Brotherhood dispatched one of their Special Agents, named Jesse Phoenix, to investigate a strange USF vessel that appeared off the coast.ĭuring the raid on the vessel, the strike team gained intelligence of a large network of Protogen factories, deep underground the continent.
Eventually they began to grow in popularity, even being accepted as a branch of the Australian Military. The group eventually discovered a nearby network of abandoned facilities and factories, which belonged to the USF's presumably short-lived occupation of the continent. After rounding up the survivors, a vote was taken, and the popular choice was to remain there and start anew. These two factors combined caused the small flotilla to crash in a space of the Great Victoria Desert, later known as Lost Hills. However, they encountered a considerable dust storm along the way, as well as an unexplained blackout of their 3 Helicarrier's on-board navigation systems. The force was originally intended to cross from Taiwan to Australia for a resupply, before traveling to somewhere in South Africa.
